Saturday 7th May, Glossop. The crew from North West Air Ambulance HM72 were called to attend a walker who had been injured in the Black Hill area of the Peak District. The patient, a 19 year old male, had fallen and suffered injuries to his hip and arm. Both the air ambulance and members of the Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team were on scene. The patient was then taken by air to Wythenshawe Hospital with a transfer time of 9 mins.

Having been to Glossop myself many times, I can say it is a beautiful area – but you wouldn’t to be stranded in those hills. Sounds like he was a lucky chap.
